Conscious Breathing

It is being conscious and attentive to how you breathe.

At the very moment you bring attention to your breathing, you bring awareness to your body and. This simple act is the beginning of all meditations.

If you control your breathing, you can control your mind and if you control your mind, you can handle your emotions better leading to a more fulfilled life.
Therefore, you are in control of your emotions and how you react to them.

There are over 50 different types of breathing techniques, , which serve different purposes. The end result is to modify emotions, relax, and recharge your inner self. What is most beneficial is to use the breath as the most effective means in connecting your mind and body with the present moment.

Conscious Breathing also acts as emotional plunger, removing blockages and again allowing the free flow of energy to the body.

“Be aware of your breathing. Notice how this takes attention away from your thinking and creates spaces”. Eckhart Tolle

Pranayama, the ancient science of breath control.

Prana is the life force or energy that pervades the universe, it is in all things, animate or inanimate. The body and mind work through the prana and breathing conciously, is the most direct way to absorb prana.

Pranayama comprises various respiratory techniques that improves the absorption of oxygen and eliminates carbon dioxide, increasing the vital energy (prana), cleans energy channels (Nadhis and Chakras) and stimulates the pranic flow. They also provide mental calm and clarity and can reach deeper levels of consciousness.

The effects of this practice creates a balance between the physical body, mind and vital energy. Breathing and the mind are closely linked. The status of one directly affects the other. When the breath comes and goes the mind is restless, when the breath is calm, so is the mind.
